- The Five Strengths of
"The 5 Strengths", and
We are in a period of great transformations of our systems, our selves and our understanding of spirituality in our day-to-day lives. Now more than ever we need to understand how to truly communicate and express ourselves, how to connect with discerning emotional intimacy, how to reach out for help and how to and give back. We need to bend and break the rules that hold us to limitingly "appropriate" behaviors, and away from authenticity, courageous exploration,
and empowered choice.
- Spiritual Empowerment -
What happens when spirituality is explored without shame or blame? Can you imagine it?
There are ways to walk our individual spiritual paths without shaming ourselves, or buying into others' judgments. Yes, we have the tendency, borne of habit, to hold ourselves to impossible and perfectionistic standards. We may even take the most freeing messages we hear, and squeeze them into fearful or self-restrictive definitions, meanings and beliefs that we already understand, because that feels safer...at first.
What would your spirituality look like if you were able to understand what it meant to be kind to yourself? Not self-indulgent, but accepting, caring, soothing? What would your spirituality look like if you didn't blame or shame yourself?
Trouble letting yourself off the hook?
If you can't imagine letting yourself off the blame and shame hook, you might want to read more deeply, below, about "The Goodbye Good Girl Project"℠
About The Goodbye Good Girl Project™
Letting Go of Permission, Approval, and Likeability
Call it empowerment, call it feminism, call it strengths - it doesn't matter which you choose, because feminine power is all of these. While we women are stepping into our power more and more, many of us terrified of rocking the boat. Many would rather not be visible!
The fear comes from any number of reactions: past woundings, future expectations, inaccurate self-image, lack of self-confidence, etc., etc., etc! Lori's experience with psychological, spiritual and emotional paths, practices and techniques has invariably shown her that the main hold-backs in our efforts to move forward, are the bailiwick of the "good girl": wanting permission, recognition, or approval. These are the three main Good Girl "hooks".
Many of us are not aware of of just how pervasive the "Good Girl" is in our lives. All of the Five Strengths of Feminine Power are affected by unwritten rules that invisibly flourish in plain sight, as is our spirituality and our belief in ourselves.
"The Goodbye Good Girl Project™ is Lori Ellen Kirstein's project to awaken women of all ages to those "invisible" rules, and to offer them individual ways in which we can engage in our power now, so that our voices can be heard - from ourselves, to our homes, to the world at large.
